The Insured contracted an independent project management company, Messrs Seleka Consulting (Pty) Ltd, to oversee repairs. The entire six-storey building had to be revamped following an electrical fire. Repairs included rewiring of the entire building, mechanical repairs to the centralized air conditioning units, refurbishments of lifts, rebuilding and plastering of walls, installation of dry wall partitioning, replacement of plastered ceilings, replacement of custom-made oak veneer doors and skirtings, internal and external redecoration of the building. The project duration of 16 weeks was met with a week to spare. Sign-off by the CEO of the Law Society, Mr. Raj Daya was obtained after 15 weeks. MAX CONSTRUCTION was complemented by the professional team for their early completion of the contract within the budgeted contract amount.

The rebuilding of the Gull Foods factory in Ekandustria, Bronkhorstspruit, was a complex project due to the company’s strict health and safety requirements. The damaged portion of the industrial premises, which included a canteen and ablution blocks, had to be demolished and rebuilt whilst the factory was operational. A temporary canteen and chemical toilets had to be installed to facilitate the staff's needs. Gull Foods a dedicated supplier of pre-packed foods to the Woolworths Group was subjected to Client Audits throughout the construction period. Inspectors representing the client Woolworths visited the construction site weekly to ensure that the construction did not interfere with food production. These inspections added enormous pressure to both Gull Foods and MAX CONSTRUCTION. This project value in excess of R7 million was completed and handed over to Gull Foods to the satisfaction of senior management.
